Abhijit Roy is Head, Department of Film Studies at Jadavpur University, Calcutta, India. He is also Joint Director, School of Media, Communication and Culture and Joint Coordinator ‘The Future of Celluloid’ Programme, The Media Lab, Jadavpur. A memeber of the editorial board of the Journal of the Moving Image, his specializations are in Television Studies, Media Theory, Popular Culture, Film Theory. He is a key member of the research network Beyond Borders as part of the Beyond Text AHRC Network Creativity Beyond Borders.
