To those still unaware: Midaircondo is Sweden’s most internationally acclaimed elektronica groups. Following the debut Shopping for Images (Type Records 2005), the duo – consisting of Lisa Nordstrom and Lisen Rylander Löve – has toured almost all parts of the world, written the scores for several films, plays and dance performances. With tenor saxophone and flutes as constants in the electronic compositions they improvise with kalimba, zither, clarinet and their at the same time brittle and sharp voices. Live they constitute an art piece. Their compact, airy expression is intertwined with self-composed video projections and specially designed creations. It is not surprising that they have worked with the Soundtrack of Our Lives lately. Midaircondo continues to explore new unexpected routes of musical originality. For those of us who can’t wait until the new album Parallel is available, this is a waiver from a clear blue sky.
