Lidija Praizović was born in 1985 in Belgrade and came to Stockholm, Sweden as an 18 month old baby. She writes literary criticism at Aftonbladet Kultur, and tries to squeeze in as much of her own fiction writing in her schedule, writing which is quite autobiographical and somewhere between prose and poetry. At the moment Praizović is unsure of where she is going as a writer, something which is causing much anxiety according to the writer herself. She has published a novel (Spegelboken) and a collection of poems (Porr för Vlada), and has been active in the queer feminist publishing company Dockhaveri förlag. She has a bachelor’s degree in comparative literature and is a former student of Biskops-Arnös writing school.
