Ahmed lives in hiding in Sweden after fleeing from Somalia. When Ahmed arrived in the Italian island of Lampedusa in an overcrowded boat he was forced to leave fingerprints. Then he became a so-called “Dublin case”. According to the EU’s Dublin Regulation, persons from outside the EU only seek asylum in the first country in Europe they come to.
